The amount of the pro rata charge shall be determined by dividing the total cost of
the particular water main extension by the total frontage, in feet, of all properties,
including street intersections, which may be served by the main. If water mains are
extended by the city, the total cost shall include a ten percent fee for engineering.
The frontage of all platted property now satisfactorily connected to the water system
of the city shall be deducted from the total frontage in determining the respective
water pro rata charge.
