§ 8-399. Prohibited conduct; penalty; suspension, cancellation of registration.
A person engaged as an itinerant merchant shall not:
(1)
Go from door to door or place to place without first registering as herein required.
(2)
Refuse to display the registration badge provided to him.
(3)
Misrepresent to the designated city official, or any person solicited for a sale or order, the purpose of the solicitation, the identity of the organization doing the solicitation, the identity of the person doing the solicitation, the price of a publication, its source, or the beneficiary of profits derived from solicitation.
(4)
Obstruct or impede the passage of a pedestrian or vehicle.
(5)
Make physical contact with the person being solicited without the permission of such person.
(6)
Continue efforts to peddle to or solicit from an individual once that individual informs the peddler or solicitor that he does not wish to give anything to or to buy anything from that peddler or solicitor.
(7)
Peddle or solicit at any residence or building which has posted a "no peddling or solicitor" sign.
(8)
Act in any manner which is contrary to local, state or federal law.
