§ 8-402. Investigation of applicant.

(a)

In addition to the permit fee, each applicant, agent or employee shall pay a fee to cover the cost of conducting a criminal background check on the applicant, in an amount to be determined by the city manager or his designee.

(b)

It shall be the duty of the city manager or his designee to investigate each applicant for a permit under this division and make a report thereof to the city manager before issuance of such a permit. The city manager's report shall include a recommendation as to the propriety of issuing a solicitor permit to the applicant based on a review of the applicant's background.
