§ 8-395. Definitions.

  • The following words, terms and phrases, when used in this division, shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this section, except where the context clearly indicates a different meaning:

    Door-to-door means a type of solicitation of individual private residences and businesses of persons who are both unknown to the person soliciting.

    Itinerant merchant means any person who sells or takes orders or places handbill advertisements from door to door or from place to place in the city or who sells out of a vehicle parked on premises where there is no related business building.

    Public place means any property open or devoted to public use.
